Elle Macpherson got married. The 49-year-old supermodel, underwear entrepreneur and reality show star married her billionaire boyfriend, Jeffrey Soffer, in Fiji this weekend. Macpherson – who was married to the French fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon in the 1980s and has two sons with her ex Arpad Busson – met Soffer in 2010 but they broke up after two years before reconciling earlier this year. It's believed that she'll be swapping West London, where she currently lives, for Florida, where Soffer is based.   

Karen Elson and Jack White's divorce continues to be messy. After it emerged last week that Elson had been granted a restraining order against a 'violent' White, he has retaliated with a countermotion, with his lawyer claiming her demands that he undergoes a psychiatric evaluation are 'disingenuous, fraudulent and retaliatory'. The pair, who married in 2005 and divorced in 2011, are arguing over the custody of their two children.

There's a new Doctor Who! It's not one of television's most fashionable shows, but it's certainly one of its most popular – as you'll know if you checked your Twitter, Facebook or any rolling news site yesterday evening. The announcement of who would take on the role of the Doctor was feverishly (over) hyped but in the end it did seem almost worthy of it given that Peter Capaldi is such a well-loved figure already. Matt Smith had brought a sort of eccentric hipster style to the character but it remains to be seen what sartorial direction 55-year-old Capaldi will take.
